The network behind a local internet business
Network design, distribution, bandwidth management and monitoring for local broadband and wireless providers.
You are probably here because
- Subscribers complain of slow speeds and nobody can say which link is saturated
- The network grew connection by connection with no documented design
- An outage is discovered when the phone starts ringing
- Billing, subscribers and the network are three separate record systems
Documentation is the deliverable
Most local ISP networks we are asked to fix are not badly built — they are undocumented. Nobody knows which fibre goes where, which port serves which area, or what the design capacity was.
A labelled rack, a topology diagram, an IP schedule and a port register are what let the next fault be fixed in twenty minutes instead of a day. That is part of the handover, not an extra.
Capacity, before the complaints
Oversubscription is normal and fine until it is not. Monitoring on each link tells you which area is approaching its limit while there is still time to add capacity, rather than after the reviews arrive.
Where this sits
Network and infrastructure here; subscribers, plans, invoicing and renewals on the ISP billing page. One subscriber record, two systems, no double entry.
Questions people actually ask
Do you supply the bandwidth?
No. We are not a bandwidth provider and we do not resell it. We design, build and support the network you run on whatever upstream you buy, and we will tell you plainly when a problem is your upstream rather than your equipment.
Can you work with our existing network?
Usually. We audit what is there, document it, and tell you what is worth keeping and what is limiting you. Rebuilding everything is rarely the right answer.
Does this include the billing system?
It integrates with it. Subscriber management, plans, invoicing and renewals are covered on the ISP billing page, and the two are designed to share one subscriber record.
What about regulatory requirements?
Licensing and compliance are your responsibility as the operator. We build the network and keep the records a compliance request would ask for. We do not file on your behalf.
Have a technology requirement?
From a single CCTV camera to software that runs a whole institution — tell us what you need and we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit.
